  • Valero Refinery in Benicia
    • The following are required and shall be presented when taking the job call:
    • BAT CARD,
    • TWIC Card Required starting Feb 2009,
    • SS Card & one government ID card (driver's lic. or passport)
    • Drug Test, No Facial Hair, Steel toed boots will be a requirement on the Valero Site. Newtron will reimburse up to $150 with a receipt for the boots. This will be a condition of employment just like drug testing and TWIC/BATT.

    BUTAMER

  • The Butamer unit was completed in Nov. 2009.

SCRUBBER

  • The Scrubber project is estimated to involve 180,000 man-hours. The scheduled peak for our craft is over 160 Wiremen in May/June of 2010 with a completion of August of 2010.
  • Currently 55 people are on site.

  • The project is required to be completed by August 2010.
  • As of 7/27/2009 - Valero calls are not subject to refusals and all past refusal were reversed.
  • We have no projections of "when or how many" for job calls
  • Job calls will "normally" be as follows:
    • Dispatch Monday to report Wednesday
    • Dispatch Wednesday to repot Friday
    • Expect two shifts

    • These projects typically require at least 30 hands sometimes more.

    • Vacaville Campus
      • Started in Fall 2008
      • Duration is 14 months
      • Project is fully manned

  • Verizon Call Center in Fairfield:
    • This project has started and will begin hiring in the early spring or sooner if the weather permits.
    • The projected manpower they will need is 15 to 20 hands
    • Duration is 11 months
 
  • Solano County Government Center in Vallejo:
    • This will be a fast track project with a major remodel of an existing structure which the Health and Social Services used to occupy.
    • The project will require 15 to 30 hands and run approximately 3 months.
    • Hiring is expected to ramp up mid January.
    • Weather will not affect this project as it is a remodel.

    • Project hiring to begin in the spring.
    • The project will require 30-plus hands for at least a year in duration.

    • Project put on hold due to the economy
 
  • The Solano County Jail Project
    • back on the radar.
    • There is a PLA on the project and it is quite large—a 318-bed facility near the existing Clay Bank facility.
