ELECTION ENDORSEMENTS: The Solano/Napa Counties Building & Construction Trades Council has prepared a list of endorsements for candidates for the November 4th Election, for various City Council, Mayoral, and School District offices.  Please look over the letter enclosed and keep it in mind when going to the polls. Don't forget to vote!

Note that the Office of Local Union #180 will be staying at the 404 Nebraska Street site at least through the month of October. Will let you know soon as possible of the date for our move to the Napa Airport Area.
 

Residential Unit Meetings

Sound & Communications Unit Meetings
scheduled for Tuesday, November 23, 1999, at 7:00 p.m.

General Membership Meetings
scheduled for Thursday, October 14, 1999 At 7:OO p.m.


ORGANIZING: There is an ongoing joint effort to organize three shops in the area. All Bay Area Locals are participating in this effort. Barnum & Celillo Electric is one of the targets. This shop has just completed two projects at the Solano Mall, Edwards Theatre and Best Buy. If any of you see Barnum & Celillo Electric on projects, or have any information on their employees, please call the Organizer Rich Mattson at 644-1228.

Residential:  There continues to be a demand for Residential Wiremen and Residential Trainees. If you know anyone that be Interested,  please have them come to the office to fill out an application.

Are you interested in registering as an IBEW Activist? Take a look at the web site: ibew.org.  Activists receive the International's "Political/Legislative Unity Generates Influence Nationwide" (PLUGIN) Legislative Alert E-Mail. The International Office believes that the Internet is an effective tool to energize and mobilize IBEW Activists on Congressional issues.

Traveling Brothers:  Heard from Tom Rossell recently. He is in Ljubligana, Slovenia, currently and will be going to Moscow soon. He sent his regards to everyone. Heard that Mike Havens enjoyed his four month vacation to Europe (while looking for employment).

Condolences to the family of Sandi Pritchett who passed away in August. Sandi was the Secretary-Bookkeeper for the Solano/Napa Counties Building & Construction Trades Council for many years here at 404 Nebraska St., Vallejo.

Congratulations to the newlyweds: Shawn and Shannon Callahan on their marriage on August 28, 1999; Congratulations to Bill and Roxanne Provan, married August 26. We wish them all the very best.

Accidents Illness: Best Wishes to Dave Ralston. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
