Labor Day Observation:
Labor Day is Monday, September 6. It is more than a "day off", it is
a Holiday for you in honor of you. So take the time to celebrate
the day by attending one of the many events being held in your own area.
Pay tribute to those who lived and died for unionism, and take time to
talk to your children about what the Union movement has done for the working
class. Have a safe and happy Labor Day weekend. You deserve it!
HAPPY LABOR DAY FROM THE MEMBERSHIP OF LOCAL UNION #180
TO THE SOLANO AND NAPA COUNTIES BUILDING TRADES COUNCIL
WHO ARE CELEBRATING THEIR 100th ANNIVERSARY.
New Building:
Our new Training Facility Center is coming along fine and is basically
at 90% completion. As you know, the funding for this building began
as a negotiated item in the bargaining agreement many years ago, and it
has taken a lot of hard work by the Committee to advance this project along
to a reality. Local #180 will be moving into the new facility, and will
let you know as soon as we have a firm date for the opening.
Local Union #180 Office Hours:
Monday though Friday, 8:00 a.m. to Noon, and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., Monday
through Friday. Since many members are working overtime and/or out
of the area, and can't make it into the office during those hours, arrangements
can be made for you to meet with the Manager or Organizer by calling the
Office to arrange a time. Call 707644-1228.
RESIDENTIAL UNIT MEETING:
A meeting has been scheduled for Wednesday, September 22, at 5:30 p.m.
Everyone who works under the residential agreement is encouraged to attend.
Refreshments served.
Pictures Needed:
The Centennial Committee is asking for pictures of old jobs done in
our area, of the crews working them and general ones of interest that would
add to our own 100th Anniversary. Please share your memories by taking
them to the Office. All photos will be returned.
Congratulations to the newlyweds:
