Dear Union Brothers and Sisters:

This letter is about Local #l80 IBEW Retirees Club.  Why should retired electricians be interested?

In 1970 IBEW International decided to promote electrical retirees clubs for retirees to:

• Help pensioners to help themselves,
• Provide means for unified expression,
• Maintain a fraternal tie with the local union,
• Provide opportunities for needed social and recreational activities,
• Develop eiucational programs for those nearing retirement,
• A source of political and legislative manpower,
• A resource for community involvement
• Consolidation of our strength at the ballot box.

The membership shall consist of any IBEW retired member and/or spouse or widow vhether receiving pension or not.

Associate members who are 55 years of age can attend but not vote.  At present we do not have any associate members.

We shall be pleasced to have some more retirees join our club.
